Mommy and Daddy were glad that Mike had finally decided
to be
born. They had been eagerly
anticipating this day for many
months.
Mommy and Daddy were helped at West Georgia Regional Hospital
by Dr.Salinger. Everyone
wanted to hold Mike
because he
was so adorable.
Mommy and Daddy had wanted to
have a baby boy just
like Mike.
This was one of the happiest
days of their lives. Mommy
laughed and cried at the same
time when she was told she had a bouncing baby boy.
Many other people had been
joyously awaiting the birth of Mike Smith. They had
tried to
guess who he would look like
and when he would arrive in Atlanta.
Grandma
and Grandpa Smith, Uncle
Mark and Aunt Sally came to see Mike and share in the
excitement.
Everyone thought everything Mike
did was absolutely amazing.

smiled and laughed when Mike
made little cooing and gurgling
noises or even just moved his
little arms and legs.
Missy
was delighted to take care
of her little miracle. Mike
was
so much fun ! Feeding time was
one of their special times
together.
Mommy liked to touch Mike
because his skin was so soft.
She talked to him in a tender,
loving voice and sang sweet,
little songs as she rocked and
cuddled him.
It was obvious that his father
was fascinated by Mike.
Daddy
was looking forward to reading
bedtime stories to Mike.
He
was also excited about their play
times together.
A very special room had been
prepared for Mike Smith
at home.
In this room were his crib, his
soft and cuddly teddy bear, and
many other toys that were
colorful and made funny sounds.
Along with Mommy and Daddy,
many other people were looking
forward to their lives with Mike. They had exciting
places to visit, interesting
things to do and many plans to
make !
